The Dave Green Zone

I bought a new camera (a Casio Exilim EX-Z1080) and I posted some of the pictures I’ve been taking to Flickr (link). I’m digging photography so far, though I am still in the honeymoon stage that is inevitable with a new gadget. Hopefully once the new camera picture-taking frenzy wears off, I will still enjoy it.

I am in the middle of taking the eHarmony personality test. I’m sure I’m not the only person to do this on Valentine’s day, but it still feels kind of pathetic.

It has been a while since I’ve made a video. I don’t know if this is necessarily worth the wait, but I think it’s kind of interesting. This is actually the third version of this video that I made tonight, and I think every new addition (or omission) has made it a little bit better. It is certainly not my best, but it could be one of my oddest.

I just got back from a matinee of “No Country For Old Men,” and let me tell you, that was quite a motion picture. Apparently though, the movie to see this weekend was that Hannah Montana. There was a line all the way outside for that thing. I imagine that with a line that long, it must be something spectacular. Unfortunately, I will never know; there is something extremely creepy about me saying “One for Hannah Montana please…” It would be a funny premise for a video, but I’d probably get put on some kind of FBI watch list. Alas, I am stuck watching Oscar-calibur Cohen brothers movies aboout psychopathic killers with silly haircuts.

I’m testing the wordpress client on my new Nokia n800 internet tablet. It is basically a handheld Linix computer with wifi access. I like the overall interface of the device, but typing on the touch screen keyboard will take a bit of getting used to. It is very easy to make little mistakes when there is no tactile response to a key press. Hopefully it is just a learning curve issue, but I doubt I’ll ever be super accurate since my thumbs are rather clumsy. I guess I could get a bluetooth keyboard, but I think that would defeat the purpose. I’m hoping this will eventually be a boon to my blog, since theoretically I can use this thing to write from anywhere, but who knows? For the time being though, it is a fun gadget. I’ll keep you updated on my progress (whether you care or not!).
