The Dave Green Zone

I talk about how Mulholland Drive is a brilliant film, and it is, but I bought the DVD because of all the nudity in it. Ditto for American Beauty.

I use my eccentricity as an excuse for why I am such a loner, but the real reason could be my fear of rejection.

I have to admit,
If I’m writing a haiku,
I’m out of ideas.

I might have a little bit of OCD. Sometimes, as I’m leaving for work, I worry that my door isn’t locked; so, I get out of my car and double check. I usually do this before I pull out of my parking space, but there have been occasions when I’ve left and had to turn around.

I sometimes use humor to mask my true feelings. I will make a joke rather than admit I am hurt or angry. I use self-deprecating humor to criticize myself before I can actually be criticized, because I usually don’t take criticism well.

You can now leave me voicemail via my new phone number: 210-767-DAVE (210-767-3283). It is a local call for residents of San Antonio. Unfortunately, that was the only area code that I was able to find with a number that spells out my name.

Incidentally, if you already have my cell phone number, that is still the best way to reach me.

I just logged into Skype for the first time in a few months to find that for some reason my username is “smartymcgee.” The weird thing is, I don’t ever remember picking such a stupid name, but I guess I did.

I put chili and cheese on kosher hot dogs, which completely negates their kosherness.

I love Mental Floss magazine, but I don’t have a subscription. I get it at the bookstore because the person at the counter usually seems impressed that I am buying it.
