This is a video I took at my friend Toothpick’s wedding reception. One of his dad’s friends was there, and he was drinking beer and dancing and having more fun than everyone in the room. When I first started recording him, I was a little apprehensive that he might not like it, but I asked him his permission and he was really cool about it. I just hope that when I’m his age I can be as free and unselfconscious as he is. I hope you enjoy.
Also, sorry in advance for the video quality.
P.S. In a somewhat related issue, as soon as I uploaded this video it was flagged for a copyright violation by the Universal Music Group. This is actually my second video to get that. Fortunately for everyone involved, they are letting me keep the video up. They do, however, reserve the rights to run ads on the video. I guess that’s a pretty fair trade for being able to legally use a Cat Stevens or Elvis Costello song. Also, in the case of the Elvis Costello video, they haven’t put ads on it yet. I guess they will only do that if my video becomes popular. If you’re interested, here’s the text of the e-mail I received:

It has been a while since I’ve made a video. I don’t know if this is necessarily worth the wait, but I think it’s kind of interesting. This is actually the third version of this video that I made tonight, and I think every new addition (or omission) has made it a little bit better. It is certainly not my best, but it could be one of my oddest.
I bought the domain name “thedavegreenzone.com” today to avoid any confusion. I admit the confusion is mostly on my part because I say the name of the web site as “The Dave Green Zone”, but there was no “the” in the URL. Anyhow, problem solved.
Oh, and here is yet another Dave Video from the enigmatic and prolific 2manySpades. Once again, I am in awe of both his craftsmanship and his willingness to spend his free time making videos that feature my dumb ass, but I am no less thankful. Check it out:
If you’re like me, you’ve said “Why hasn’t anyone ever done a video about eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch to an Elvis Costello soundtrack?” Well, ask no more! I have created the definitive Cinnamon Crunch and Elvis Costello mash-up. I hope you enjoy.
It is official, I am a bona fide Internet celebrity. A stranger (Youtube user 2ManySpades) took the time to take various clips of me from my video blog and string them together into a really nice tribute montage. It is an honor to be remixed like that Star Wars kid. Check it out:
So a very big thank you to 2ManySpades, you should check out his other stuff too. His series of minimalist piano experiments (”Blue”, “Green”, “Red”, “Yellow”, “Violet” and “Orange”) are particularly cool.
